The story behind CrutchMate

CrutchMate was born out of the necessity to address the challenges faced during recovery from knee surgery. The experience of relying on crutches for six weeks following the operation highlighted the sudden impact on everyday life. Simple day-to-day tasks that were once effortless became significantly more challenging. This struggle served as the driving force behind the creation of CrutchMate, a solution designed to enhance the comfort and mobility of individuals during their rehabilitation journey.

The initial concept was swiftly created and assembled within a mere 24-hour timeframe, promptly affixed to a crutch for rigorous evaluation. While the first design was deemed satisfactory, it merely laid the groundwork for the current appearance of the product after undergoing over 10 successive design iterations.

After mounting the initial iteration of CrutchMate onto my crutch, a repetitive sentiment echoed around me: "I wish I had this when I was on crutches." This resounding chorus crystallised the common need I had stumbled onto, propelling me to craft a solution that could aid all crutch users.
